Classic grit, modern edge.

At just 17 years old, Cashton Adkins has already carved out his place as the founder and owner of Buttermilk & Co., a lifestyle clothing brand located in the Shops at Selah. The name Buttermilk carries a piece of his story—Cashton first launched the brand out of a remodeled 1950s milk truck, a project he and his dad built together. What began as a creative, mobile boutique is now expanding into a full brick-and-mortar shop, opening in October 2025, marking an exciting new chapter for the brand.

Every great shop needs a welcoming presence, and at Buttermilk & Co., that role belongs to Nova, Cashton’s loyal German Shepherd. She’s the official shop dog, often found trailing right behind Cashton, keeping a watchful eye, or lounging beside him. Nova even had a say in curating a selection of pet-friendly items, so your four-legged friends can enjoy Buttermilk finds too.

Buttermilk & Co. carries a carefully curated lineup of high-quality brands, including Sendero, Seager, Elwood, Two Dove, WESN knives (TSA-approved), and Turtlebox Speakers. With a growing rotation of products, the shop offers a little something for everyone, blending style, function, and adventure.

Beyond his entrepreneurial side, you may also recognize Cashton from tending to the farm animals in Selah, a part of his daily life that reflects his work ethic and grounded nature. He also loves working out, running, eating healthy, and is actively developing a food concept to open next door to the shop, creating a lifestyle hub that ties together fashion, wellness, and community.

With his entrepreneurial spirit, eye for style, and Nova by his side, Cashton is building something truly unique at Buttermilk & Co.—a brand with roots in creativity, family, and authenticity.
